Meet Dr. Becca Baer
From a young age, Dr. Becca Baer knew that her passion lay in dentistry. She was particularly inspired while working at her father’s dental practice, where she observed the profound effects a smile makeover could have on a patient’s self-esteem and overall outlook on life. Witnessing these transformative experiences fueled her determination to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in predental studies at the University of Michigan. This academic path allowed her to deepen her understanding of dental science and solidified her commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of her future patients through dentistry.
Putting passion into practice
To reach her goal of pursuing a dental career, Dr. Baer completed dental studies at Indiana University School of Dentistry. She then went on to accept a position at Montefiore Health System’s renowned Centennial Clinic in the Bronx. During her two-year General Practice Residency, Dr. Baer received unique training in the restoration of teeth with dental restorations and in complex prosthodontic cases while refining her general dentistry skills. Dr. Baer also cultivated her leadership skills as a Chief Resident in her second year at Centennial.
Community, industry commitment
While in Michigan, Dr. Baer volunteered her time and talent to assist doctors and residents in the hospital dentistry unit at the University of Michigan Health System hospital. She volunteered her time and skills in Indiana as a dental patient coordinator at the IU Student Outreach Clinic. This free clinic provides health care and support services for the uninsured and underserved in Indianapolis.
